NY PSC Extension: Brokers Buy Time
August 31, 2023 is NOT the deadline in New York for brokers and consultants to register with the Public Service Commission (PSC), pay a registration fee, post financial collateral, and disclose compensation.
The PSC has extended deadlines, a decision which came in response to several petitions for a rehearing and requests for additional time in order to comply. The need to develop and implement training and make changes to internal systems were among the reasons cited.
The PSC found these and other reasons provide sufficient justification to grant the extensions. New compliance deadlines will be established by the Commission when it issues its decision(s) in response to the petitions seeking rehearing.
